Working With Joan of Arc as Saint of the French Fairy Faith
A free-standing, independent masterclass drawing from Briar’s own research and practices, this course consists in a downloadable one-off class for the experienced practitioner’s perusal. The workshop and its materia charter new, underexplored territory in the fields of atavistic fairy faith, French mysticism, occult theory, and Joan of Arc literature. Did Joan of Arc really saw fairies ? Could she indeed be considered a Fairy Saint ? We will answer these questions, and more, whilst providing both an overview of the subject matter (featuring a recording of the lecture just short of 2 hours + its illustrated slidedeck); and a 80 pages workable “grimoire”, The Book of the Maid - intended for the occult seeker, to magically engage with Joan of Arc. The masterclass comes with the addition of a number of primary and secondary sources, enclosed to complement the topic and let the student garner an astute, in depth understanding - including never before translated texts, a selected bibliography + course list of further resources and recommended readings, and a variety of PDF scans from cited documents, books, and reports. Originally in the form of a talk presented at the 2024 Magickal Women Conference, this thoroughly revised and expanded upon edition is the fruit of all the author’s accumulated knowledge, devotion, and diligent practices with Joan of Arc to date.
